A routine radar patrol at Mc-Gee Creek State Park resulted in the arrest of a Boswell man on the morning of April 21, 2026, after a high-speed stop uncovered illegal narcotics and paraphernalia.
Catlin Provence faces misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in Atoka County District Court.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Lt. Corwin Ridgway of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department’s Protective Services Division, Provence was stopped near the intersection of McGee Creek Lake Road and South Farris Road. Lt. Ridgway reported that Provence was traveling 50 mph in a posted 25 mph zone.
