Road Rage Incident Leads to Felony Weapon and DUI Charges

A reported road rage encounter on Highway 69 ended in a felony arrest on April 23, 2026, after a driver alerted a stationary patrol unit to an alleged threat involving a firearm.

Nicolos Williams faces multiple charges, including felony counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and driving under the influence (second and subsequent offense), as well as a misdemeanor count of carrying a prohibited weapon.

The incident began around 3:56 p.m. when a motorist pulled alongside Stringtown Police Officer Braxton Castleberry at the corner of Bois D’Arc and Highway 69. The motorist reported that the driver of a passing white minivan had just pointed a gun at him. Officer Castleberry initiated a traffic stop on the van near Highway 43 East and Bond Street.
