A speedy response from the Atoka Police Department resulted in the apprehension of a suspect allegedly involved in a theft from the local Walmart on the evening of April 23, 2026.
The investigation began at approximately 8:23 p.m. when Officer Marlow and MPO Shomo received a description of a suspect traveling south toward Casey’s General Store. Officers located a man matching the description walking across the Casey’s parking lot and identified him as Blake Capehart.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Capehart allegedly began emptying his pockets upon contact with the officers, claiming the items were his and came from his house. However, an investigation by Sgt. James Riley and Walmart asset protection staff told a different story.
