The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from February business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from Feb. 16 to 28 and estimated sales from March 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $202,236,693 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $15,742,252 from the $186,494,441 distributed to the cities and towns in April last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and town was $36,613,010 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $35,570,691 sales tax disbursement and a $7,960,612 use tax disbursement.
