On the back row, from left, are Head Coach Logan Brown, Kylee Webb, Callie Boren, Kyra Jones, Kolbey King, Rilee Lewis, Kylie Lee, Brinlee Anderson, Alyssa Langford, London Eden, Sierra Rhodes and Assistant Coach Trevor Cook.

The Tushka Lady Tigers are headed back to the biggest stage in Class 3A slow pitch softball, and this time, they’re determined to make it count.

With a 33-8 record and a No. 3 ranking, Tushka returns to the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association Class 3A State Tournament on Wednesday, May 6, at the FireLake Ball Fields in Shawnee. The Lady Tigers will open play at 11:30 a.m. against No. 5 Apache Lady Warriors (21-9), with the winner advancing to face either No. 2 Caddo Lady Bruins or No. 7 Merritt Lady Oilers later in the day. The championship game is set for 7 p.m.

Tushka’s return comes with added motivation after last season ended in a first-round upset. Head coach Logan Brown stated that the group has used that finish as fuel throughout the year, focusing on improving and achieving a stronger postseason result this time around.
