Atoka America Legion Post 48 Welcomes Legion Riders

This past Friday afternoon, May 17, 2026, the deep throated sounds of dozens of Harley-Davidsons and Indian motorcycles of the Oklahoma American Legion Riders rumbled to a stop in front of post headquarters at 231 E. 1 st Street in Atoka.

The sun and wind weathered cyclists and their passengers uncoiled from their two and three wheeled steeds and ambled, some more stiffly than others, into the cool respite of the veterans building for cold drinks and snacks and a chance to recount the latest leg of their 7th Annual Legacy Run, adding an incident free Hugo to Atoka segment.

Still in good spirits, these seasoned veterans had started Friday morning in Southwest Oklahoma at Comanche in Stevens County.
