Intruder Threatens Driver's Dog During Stringtown Burglary

An incident at the Choctaw Travel Plaza in Stringtown on June 1 resulted in a Texas woman’s arrest after she allegedly broke into a semi-truck cab and fled from responding officers.

Mireille Johnson was taken into custody following a multi-agency response involving the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department, the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office, and the Stringtown Police Department.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Atoka County Dispatch notified Lighthorse Officer T. Maynard of a disturbance at the travel plaza. A truck driver, Jessica Benham, reported that an unknown woman had entered her semi-truck and was refusing to leave. Because they were the closest units available, Atoka County Deputy Gary Colley and Stringtown Officer Zach Branson rushed to the scene.
