Here it is the first week of June 2026 and we are fast approaching the celebration of this country's 250th birthday. This Tuesday will not only be the day in which we cast our ballots for different state questions but also for different offices in state and local government.
This Tuesday, we will also be having a meeting at our veteran's building to plan for our city's 4th of July parade. Things are starting to come together, and I would like to take this opportunity to let all of you know that this is your chance to be a part of something that can be truly phenomenal.
I have heard people say time-and-time again that “Atoka needs to do this, and Atoka needs to do that...' and this is the perfect opportunity for you to be able to be a part of history and a part of something in which Atoka is doing something.
