A Wardville man and his passenger were injured Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle encounter on Ashland Highway led to a rollover crash in Pittsburg County.
According to a preliminary report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lieutenant Ronald Sites, the incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, on Ashland Highway, just north of Ashland.
The report states that a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Brenda Bennett-Sieben of Coalgate was traveling eastbound when she slowed down and moved left of center to avoid an animal in the roadway.
