Three Atoka County Races Headed to August Runoff Elections

Following Tuesday’s primary election, local voters will head back to the polls late this summer to settle three highly contested county-level matchups that are officially bound for runoffs.

Due to no single candidate securing a clear majority of the vote in the multi-candidate primary fields, the top two finishers in each race will face off one final time. According to the state election calendar, the official runoff election day is set for Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

In the race for County Commissioner District 1, Jon Holstine and Joe Don Partin will go head-to-head on the August ballot to secure the seat.
