Navy veteran Kevin Shaw and Air Force veteran Trish Shaw will provide their truck and trailer to transport veterans during the 4th of July Parade in Atoka Saturday, while local ranchers, Ronnie and Karen Henderson, are graciously providing square bale seating.
Any veteran wanting to participate should come to the staging area along N. Main Street, east of the post office, by 9:30 Saturday morning, in preparation for the 10:30 a.m. start, and are encouraged to wear some service identifying article of clothing, i.e., hat, shirt, boots, etc.
Mobility challenged veterans will be prioritized to ride, with all veterans encouraged to come be a part of this once in our nation’s history celebration!
