The Choctaw Nation celebrated the achievements of local tribal business owners at the annual Chahtapreneur of the Year awards, held on Friday, June 26, in Durant. For District 10 the prestigious Small Business of the Year honor was awarded to the Stringtown General Store, owned by Deidre Elrod.

The event marked an unforgettable evening dedicated to recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding accomplishments of Chahtapreneurs across all 12 districts of the Choctaw Nation.

District 10 Tribal Councilman Anthony Dillard offered his warm congratula- tions to Deidre Elrod for her impressive accomplishment with the Stringtown General Store. He described the awards ceremony as a memorable night that successfully honored the hard work and achievements of all the tribal business winners across the Choctaw Nation's 12 districts.
