A trail of scrape marks left on the pavement by a car driving without front tires led law enforcement straight to a stolen vehicle parked at a Lane residence last month.
Atoka County Sheriff’s Captain Gipson was responding to a report on July 13 regarding a blue Nissan Altima being driven on its rims along Cottonwood Road. Captain Gipson followed a visible trail of gouges and scrape marks along Iron Stob Road, Crystal Cemetery Road, Davis Road, and onto Skylark Road.
The marks ended in the driveway of 12605 S. Skylark Road, where deputies located the vehicle, its front tires completely gone and its metal wheels heavily damaged.
