An eight-year-old boy has passed away following a near-drowning incident at Lake Texoma over the weekend.
Emergency crews responded to the lake Saturday, August 8, after the child jumped into the water near a dock without a personal flotation device.
Witnesses reported that the boy panicked and went under the dock structure. A bystander pulled the child from the water and began performing CPR until emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
