Attorney General Gentner Drummond is reminding law enforcement agencies across Oklahoma that the deadline to submit nominations for the 2026 Officer of the Year Awards has been extended to Friday.
Only law enforcement agencies are eligible to submit official nominations, but Drummond encourages members of the public to reach out to their local agencies if there are officers they want to recommend for consideration.
“Oklahoma is fortunate to have law enforcement officers who show up every day and go above and beyond for the people they serve,” Drummond said. “This is a small but meaningful way to say thank you and make sure their dedication doesn't go unnoticed. Every nominee will be honored at a special ceremony in October, and I look forward to celebrating these outstanding officers alongside their communities.”
