A traffic stop for a display of fictitious license plates on Highway 69 resulted in the arrest of a driver found to be operating a vehicle without a license late last month.
Atoka Police Officer Angel and Master Patrol Officer Shomo reported traveling northbound near C Street around 12:20 p.m. on July 28 when they spotted a white Toyota Corolla
carrying a Texas license plate. A routine NCIC registration check revealed the plate actually belonged to a 2013 Chevrolet sedan, and officers noted the Toyota's high-mounted brake light was also non-operational.
