A Missouri man was arrested on multiple traffic- related charges following a high-speed traffic stop on Highway 69 earlier this month.
According to an affidavit filed by Atoka County Sheriff's Deputy G. Colley, the incident occurred on the afternoon of August 3 shortly before 3 p.m. Deputy Colley was conducting radar speed monitoring from Clear Branch Road when he clocked a northbound 2026 Volkswagen Jetta traveling at 91 mph in a posted 70 mph zone.
Deputy Colley pursued the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop just north of Lain Lake Road. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy noted that the car displayed an expired Missouri temporary paper tag.
