A 71-year-old Eufaula man remains in critical condition following a near-drowning incident on Lake Eufaula Saturday night, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Emergency personnel responded to the incident at approximately 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 22 along the shores of Lake Eufaula in Pittsburg County, roughly three miles south of the city of Eufaula.
Investigating officers identified the victim as Jeffrey Nowlin. According to the preliminary report, two bystanders discovered Nowlin unresponsive in approximately two feet of water near the shoreline.
