An 87-year-old Colbert man died Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle collision involving an Atoka County EMS ambulance in Bryan County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:23 a.m. on Aug. 18 along the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 69 at the intersection of Chickasaw Road.
According to the preliminary report by Trooper James Reinecker, Wesley D. Weber, 87, was driving a southbound vehicle on US-69 when he turned left to enter Chickasaw Road. Weber's vehicle pulled directly into the path of an Atoka County EMS ambulance that was traveling northbound in the inside lane of US-69.
