County sales tax income up from last year

The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from May business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from June 16 to 30 and estimated sales from July 1 to 15.

Statewide, the disbursement of $217,934,853 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $2,448,687 from the $215,486,166 distributed to the cities and towns in August last year. The use tax disbursement to cities 2026 and town was $47,593,429 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

In county returns, the counties shared in a $39,959,760 sales tax disbursement and a $10,105,894 use tax disbursement.
