The Atoka City Council, Municipal Authority, Industrial Development Authority (ACIDA), and Airport Authority Trust convened for their regular meetings on Monday morning, August 24, 2026, passing key measures to upgrade city recreational facilities, municipal fleet vehicles, and airport infrastructure while finalizing municipal support for a major regional music festival.

New Splash Pad Approved for Johnson Park In a major highlight for community recreation, the ACIDA board unanimously approved a $326,159.01 proposal from Vortex (via local vendor Power Play) for the construction of a feature-packed splash pad at Johnson Park.
