Lane School is expanding its hands-on science and technology curriculum after receiving a $3,450 grant from the People of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas (OONG).
The funding will support the addition of robotics into the district's Accelerated and computer science programs. Through the new initiative, students will learn to code and operate their own robots, which are supplied by the Norman-based KISS Institute for Practical Robotics.
School officials expressed deep appreciation for the community investment, noting the outsized impact that targeted funding brings to smaller districts.
