Area residents are invited to learn more about local historic preservation efforts during a public community meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026.
Beginning at 1:30 p.m., the informational session will focus on the Butterfield National Historic Trail and detail the National Park Service's upcoming comprehensive plan designed to promote and preserve the historical route.
The meeting will be held on Hiland Street in Stringtown at the former Assembly of God Church building, recognizable as the white metal building with a green roof and church sign out front.
