A Missouri man faces a felony firearm charge and multiple misdemeanor counts after being pulled over for speeding along Highway 69 in Atoka on Aug. 15.
Atoka Police Department Officer Joseph Miklaucic and Officer Cesar Angel were monitoring traffic from the CFI parking lot around 4:30 p.m. when they observed a blue Chevrolet Equinox traveling northbound at 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and the vehicle pulled over near Wallace Street along Highway 69.
Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Davon Robinson-Bowls of Kansas City, Missouri, officers noted the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Robinson-Bowls told officers he was recently released from prison and actively working to retrieve his driver's license, while also admitting to having a burnt marijuana cigarette inside the center console.
