City Manager Danny Delay continues to recover at home following a recent major surgery, as well as treatment for additional medical issues that were identified. We remain prayerful and hopeful for his full healing and a swift return.
As I enter into the second full month in the new role, the work continues to be both challenging and rewarding. Each week brings new opportunities to learn more about the many functions and responsibilities within the City of Atoka. Over the past several weeks, I’ve met with numerous citizens and addressed a variety of concerns, many of which, I’m hopeful, have been resolved. I look forward to building on this progress as I continue growing into the position.
We recently purchased trauma kits to be placed in all City buildings and in supervisor vehicles, expanding our emergency readiness beyond the equipment already carried in police and fire units. These kits provide essential lifesaving tools that can be used in the critical moments before first responders arrive, strengthening our ability to safeguard employees, citizens, and visitors. This investment reflects our continued commitment to improving safety across all departments and ensuring that City personnel are equipped to respond effectively in urgent situations.
