Atoka Senior Center Navigates Regional Meal Pivot

For nearly 50 years, the Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Program (SONP) served as a vital lifeline for rural seniors across a 10-county region, providing hot meals, home deliveries, and essential daily wellness checks.

On August 27, 2026, that decades- long tenure came to a formal end when the non-profit filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
