Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority (CNHSA) newly renovated facility in Talihina is bringing expanded health care services to the community. The Choctaw Health & Community Care, formerly the Talihina Community Clinic, will host Family Medicine Residency Clinic providers opening more opportunities for people in the community to receive care.
“Residents are doctors who are becoming specialized in a particular area,” says Dr. Cody McCorkle, program director. “Our Family Medicine Residency program is designed to provide comprehensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of symptoms, conditions, and diseases.”
The resident physicians are overseen by a faculty provider while providing care at a Choctaw Nation clinic. These physicians can provide non-emergency care to all ages.
