Federal authorities confirmed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers carried out a targeted enforcement action in Atoka last Tuesday, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals.
The Atoka County Sheriff's Office confirmed it was not involved in or part of the federal operation.
According to a statement issued by ICE Public Affairs Officer Sarah Loicano: 'As they do daily, ICE officers conducted a routine, targeted immigration enforcement action in Oklahoma. The enforcement activity occurred near Bledsoe’s Diner, but the operation was not centered on or connected to the business.
