Quilting traditions, local artistry, and community heritage will take center stage as the Atoka County Extension Outstanding Home Community Education (OHCE) and the A Time to Sew Quilters' Guild host the First Annual Atoka County Quilt Show on Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3.
The two-day event, themed 'Quilts Have Stories,' will take place at the Kiamichi Technology Center in Atoka, featuring displays of regional talent, food trucks, and a special appearance by an award-winning guest artist.
The show runs from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, and continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3. Admission is $5 per person, which covers entry for both days of the show. Organizers note that entry fees and sales on Friday are cash only.
