Members of the Atoka Police Department will be setting aside their razors next month in support of local youth through a No-Shave November fundraising initiative.
Participating officers are donating personal funds to the department's annual Shop with a Cop program in exchange for permission to grow out their beards throughout the month of November. All proceeds raised will go directly toward purchasing Christmas gifts and providing a brighter holiday season for children in the Atoka community.
Department leadership is extending an invitation to local businesses and residents to join the cause through individual contributions. Community members interested in making a donation or learning more about supporting the holiday drive may contact Jim Lyon via Facebook Messenger.
