The Atoka Trail Riders Arena roared with excitement this past weekend as the Atoka Pro Rodeo, produced by McCoy Rodeo, returned for two thrilling nights of action on April 25–26.
As a signature stop on the 2025 McCoy Rodeo Tour presented by Tractor Supply Co., the Atoka Pro Rodeo once again brought together a talented field of cowboys and cowgirls from across the region. Fans enjoyed top-level competition in traditional events like bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling.
Although final results from the weekend had not been officially released at press time, the rodeo delivered standout performances and unforgettable moments.
A key part of the action were the skilled pick-up men — Tuff Hardman of Tushka, JJ Hatcher of Antlers, and Jet McCoy of Ada, brother to rodeo producer Cord McCoy — who played a crucial role in ensuring both rider safety and smooth transitions in the arena.
Cord McCoy, a familiar name in rodeo circles and reality TV fame, shared his heartfelt connection to the Atoka community.
'I tell people I get all worked up for Atoka,' Mc-Coy said. 'We've suffered through a lot of rain this week, and a lot of crazy weather. We appreciate everyone that attends. We may travel all across the country, but I tell you Atoka, Okla. is a pretty nice little home.'
The Atoka Pro Rodeo remains a highlight for families and rodeo fans alike, blending fierce competition with small-town pride. With stars like Tyler Pearson, 2017 PRCA Steer Wrestling World Champion, having appeared in past editions, the event continues to strengthen Atoka’s growing reputation on the rodeo circuit.
