A traffic stop for a defective headlight in Atoka on Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a Texas woman, Mireya Andrade, who was found to have a suspended driver's license in Texas and an active warrant from Denton County.
According to a police report, the stop occurred around 9:30 PM on Highway 69 near 13th Street after an officer observed Andrade's small SUV with an inoperable passenger headlight. Andrade provided a Mexico identification card and passport and stated she had lost her Texas driver's license.
A check revealed her Texas driving privileges were suspended, and she had an active warrant from Denton County. Andrade was arrested and booked into the Atoka County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, a defective vehicle violation, and the out-of-state warrants.
