The Atoka Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Cat Country Storage on Westside Parkway.
Officer Zachary Rice was dispatched to the storage facility located at 1302 Westside Parkway on May 3, 2025, in response to a reported burglary.
Officer Rice met with Harlei and Bobby Hunt Jr., who reported that their storage unit had been entered.
The Hunts stated to Officer Rice that they had last been at their unit on Thursday, May 1, when Bobby Hunt Jr. placed a set of four black Chevrolet wheels inside. When they returned on May 3rd, they found that the lock had been cut off and the unit had been entered. Bobby Hunt Jr. estimated the value of the wheels to be around $1000.
Officer Rice's report notes that Harlei Hunt reported that two gold Yamaha Alto Saxophones, a Yamaha wood Clarinet, and an old rusty flute were also taken from the storage unit. The report further notes that an online search suggested a more accurate price of around $1,500 for each saxophone and possibly up to $400 for the clarinet. No value was placed on the flute.
The report also indicates that this was not the first time the Hunts' storage unit had been targeted, with a previous theft reported on March 8, 2025.
At the time of the report, there were no identified suspects, and the storage facility did not have security cameras that may have captured the crime.
