On April 30, 2025, the Atoka County Sheriff's Office took a report from an individual regarding an alleged domestic violence incident.
According to the report filed by Deputy Joe Miklaucic, the individual stated that her former boyfriend, Jeremy Henry, came to her residence. In her statement, she reported waking up to him being angry and aggressive. She alleged that he yelled about a text message, punched her buttocks, and that when she attempted to stop him, he knocked a hole in the wall and pulled her hair.
The individual further stated that Henry allegedly put her in a chokehold until she lost consciousness. She was unsure how long she was out. She also reported that he destroyed her room and house. According to the report, when she pleaded for help and to contact her grandmother, he became angrier, allegedly pulling her hair behind her back and choking her until she lost consciousness again.
She also stated that he grabbed her leg and bent it back, and when she tried to kick him off, he threw items at her, hitting her in the eye. The individual expressed fear for her life, stating that she believes he is tracking her movements.
Deputy Miklaucic noted in the report observing swelling on the left side of the individual's neck, minor scratches on the right side of her neck near the collar bone, bruising on her right upper arm, another bruise on her left upper arm, and a bruise on the back of her left shoulder.
The report indicates that a Domestic Violence Lethality-Screen for First Responders was conducted, and the individual declined to speak with an advocate, stating she was seeking an Emergency Protective Order. Pictures of her alleged injuries were taken, and she was provided with a domestic violence pamphlet.
This incident remains under investigation by the Atoka County Sheriff's Office.
