Taggart Lockhart was hired on April 9 to be the Atoka High School Boys Basketball Head Coach for the 2025-2026 season, however he has since accepted another job. He was hired by the Kingston School Board on May 13 to be the 2025-2026 High School Boys Basketball Head Coach, Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Middle School Principal at Kingston.
“After much prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to accept a new opportunity with another school district. My wife and I believe this is the best decision for our family at this time. While we are excited for the new chapter ahead, we will truly miss the relationships we’ve built and the meaningful memories we've made here in Atoka. We are grateful for the time we've spent here and will carry it with us moving forward,” Lockhart said.
