Is it sushi? Or is it candy? Discover a new twist on sushi at Atoka County Library on Friday, June 6th at 1:00 PM. Children, ages 5- 12, will make Japanese-style sushi using rice crispies treats and other candies. All materials will be provided by the library. This program is designed for all ages; however, signing up is encouraged as space is limited.
“This is a fun and yummy project for kids during summertime,” said Library Branch Manager Melissa Walker. “It’s a great way to learn something new and experience different foods from other cultures.”
The Summer Reading Program is also supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
For more information, contact the Atoka County Library at (580) 889-3555 or visit the library at 279 East A Street.
