Police Investigate Home Entry, Harassment Claims

The Atoka Police Department is investigating a report from an Atoka resident who alleges unauthorized entry into her home and past threats from an acquaintance.

According to a police report filed on May 15th, 2025, at approximately 7:42 PM, Patrolman Grady Blackwood and Officer Russell O’Neal initially responded to a call about a truck blocking an intersection near W Sandy Rd and Linda Ave. While addressing the parked vehicle, the victim informed officers of a separate incident.

The victim reported that on Tuesday, May 13th, around 7:10 or 7:15 AM, she awoke to find an individual she identified as Roger Sipes inside her house. The victim stated that Sipes told her he entered through the front door, though the door was not broken, and she did not know how he gained access. She alleged that razor blades and a shaver, which Sipes had previously bought for her, were taken.

The victim told officers she did not contact the police immediately but called an acquaintance to stay with her because she was scared. She further advised that Sipes, whom she described as an 'acquaintance,' has a history of threatening her, including a specific threat a few months prior where he allegedly told her, 'I'm gonna take you off and they’ll never find you.' She recounted that during the May 13th incident, when she told Sipes to leave, he responded, 'make me.'

During the conversation, the victim appeared visibly disturbed and was shaking, expressing fear of Sipes's potential actions, stating, 'If I come up missing, it’s because of him.' She made numerous comments about seeking a protective order and was informed of the process to obtain one.

As a result of the victim's report, a city trespass form was filled out for Roger Sipes. The incident remains under investigation.
