On May 13th, 2025, a driver was arrested in Atoka County for allegedly operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license and without insurance.
According to a police report, at approximately 1:30 AM, an officer was patrolling northbound on Highway 69 near North Hills Road when a red pickup truck was observed having difficulty maintaining its lane, veering over the fog line multiple times.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Miguel Escobar. Upon request for a driver's license, Escobar provided only a passport and admitted he did not possess a valid license. He also confirmed that the vehicle did not have insurance.
Escobar was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. The vehicle was subsequently released to a wrecker service, and Escobar was transported to the Atoka County Jail for booking.
