It Must Have Been Left in the Car

A traffic stop at the Choctaw Travel Plaza on Wednesday led to drug possession charges for a passenger, and an additional charge of introducing contraband into a penal institution after methamphetamine was discovered in her possession at the jail.

At approximately 1:35 PM on June 5, 2025, Officer Russell O'Neal of the Atoka Police Department ar- rived at the Choctaw Travel Plaza to assist Sgt. Cody Poe with a traffic stop. The driver, Mathew Allen, was already detained. The passenger and vehicle owner, Christina Tribble, was standing beside the vehicle while Sgt. Poe conducted a search of the interior.

During the vehicle search, Sgt. Poe located a book with a suspicious protrusion. Upon opening it, officers found a folded piece of paper containing a white powder and a powder-covered straw, consistent with drug paraphernalia. Christina Tribble was then detained on suspicion of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and escorted to Officer O'Neal's patrol unit.
