Assault Reported at Apartment Complex Laundry Room

An alleged assault and battery incident occurred at the Sunset Village Apartments laundry room last Saturday, stemming from a dispute over laundry. Both individuals involved reported injuries.

At approximately 8:29 AM on June 8, 2025, Lt. Jimmy Taylor of the Atoka Police Department responded to a call at Sunset Village Apartments, located at 1300 South Hesse.

Upon arrival, Lt. Taylor spoke with the victim, who stated he went to the complex laundry room to retrieve his clothes and found that a woman, whom he did not know, had removed his laundry from the washing machine.
