Atoka Walmart Reports Suspected Barcode Swap

Walmart in Atoka recently reported a suspected 'ticket swapping' incident, where a customer allegedly paid a lower price for an item by using an incorrect barcode. No charges were filed, and the report was for informational purposes.

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 3:25 PM, Officer Christian Shomo of the Atoka Police Department received a theft report from Latrica Workman, Walmart's Asset Protection representative.

Workman stated that during a patrol, she noticed a barcode sticker missing from an item known to have been involved in previous 'ticket swapping' incidents. She verified that the item's last sale occurred on June 8, 2025.
