Woman Arrested for Alleged Pattern of Thefts at Walmart

A local woman was arrested on June 20, 2025, after a Walmart asset protection employee, in cooperation with the Atoka Police Department, concluded an investigation into multiple alleged theft incidents spanning nearly two months.

Officer Christian Shomo responded to a report of theft at Walmart, where Asset Protection employee Latrisha Workman had the suspect, identified as Falon Lopez, in her office. Workman informed Officer Shomo that she had been actively investigating Lopez in connection with nine prior theft incidents occurring between April 28, 2025, and June 16, 2025.

On June 20th, Workman observed Lopez through surveillance footage at a self-checkout register. She noted Lopez scanning some items but allegedly failing to scan a bottle of tiki torch fluid and placing a pair of earrings into her purse without payment.
