The Atoka County Commissioners convened for their regular weekly meeting on July 7, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.
A significant portion of the discussion revolved around the ongoing roof project at the Atoka County Health Department. Commissioners noted that despite attempts, they had received zero bids for the project. Concerns were raised regarding warranty issues, specifically that an extended warranty would cover paint but contractors would not warranty sheet metal for extended labor.
A second round of bidding also yielded no bids. Discussions included potentially going with a known state contractor. Ultimately, the plan is to rebid the package, removing the warranty aspect, and to work with their contact to ensure the warranty remains on the metal.
