Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Pickup in Atoka County

A Caddo woman died Tuesday evening after being struck by a pickup truck on Voca Road in what authorities are investigating as a hitand- run collision. A driver has been identified and arrested in connection with the incident.

The fatality collision occurred at approximately 7:34 PM on July 8, 2025, on Voca Road, approximately 0.5 miles west of Buckholt Road in Atoka County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) report from Trooper Jerrid Hobbie, the pedestrian, identified as Haskellen Westbrook, 70, of Caddo, was walking westbound on the shoulder of Voca Road with another individual when she was struck by a motor vehicle. Westbrook was pronounced deceased at the scene due to her injuries and was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City. The other individual present with Westbrook described the impact with a possible white pickup truck, indicating the vehicle did not stop or return to the scene.
