Golf, Beer, and a Second DUI

A Stringtown Police officer arrested a driver on Saturday afternoon after observing erratic driving, which led to a DUI investigation and the discovery of open containers in the vehicle. The driver is facing a second/ subsequent offense charge due to prior convictions.

At approximately 4:15 PM on June 7, 2025, Officer Colley of the Stringtown Police Department observed a black 2012 Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound on State Highway 43E with a shattered windshield and its sole occupant, the driver, not wearing a seatbelt.

As the officer followed, the truck was observed on multiple occasions failing to maintain its lane, crossing the center dividing line and encroaching into the westbound lane. The vehicle also swerved within its lane and made abrupt steering corrections.
