David Durbin, an Atoka Resident
David Durbin, an Atoka Resident, was inducted to the Oklahoma Officials Association (OOA) Hall of Fame on July 26 at the Shawnee High School Performing Arts Center. He was surrounded by family as he was inducted. Durbin had a 48-year football official career where he called two state championship games and tons of playoff games. He had a 38year career as a basketball official with him calling 15 plus state basketball tournaments. Durbin was one of five to be inducted into the OOA Hall of Fame alongside Terry Porter of Stillwater, Leland Searcy of Woodward, Fred Poteete of Tahlequah and Tommy B. Davis of Oklahoma.
