Residents interested in a distinctive blend of art and tradition are invited to participate in an upcoming Barn Quilt Workshop, set to take place at the Kiamichi Technology Business Center, located at 1763 W Liberty Rd in Atoka. This handson class offers a chance to create a unique piece of outdoor art.
The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, August 14th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Participants will learn how to craft a barn quilt, which involves painting simple geometric shapes—inspired by traditional quilting patterns—onto wood, typically for display on buildings.
A registration fee of $25 covers all necessary supplies for the class. Due to limited class space, interested individuals are encouraged to register and submit payment by the August 7th deadline. Participants should also remember to bring a hairdryer and an apron to protect their clothing during the painting process.
