Local disc golfers Tommy Burgess and Frank Heard brought home a big win this past weekend, taking first place in the 2025 BigFoot Disc Golf Doubles State Championship. The tournament, held at Lost Loksi Disc Golf Course in Boggy Depot State Park, drew over 45 teams from across Oklahoma and beyond.
For their victory, Burgess and Heard were awarded custom Championship BigFoot Belts, a unique trophy that’s become a fan favorite among competitors.
The event stretched over four rounds and 54 holes, testing players with tough layouts, shifting weather, and a variety of competitive formats. Burgess and Heard, both founding members of the Atoka Disc Golf Club, leaned on their local knowledge and daily practice to outlast a strong field that included several touring disc golf professionals.
