An inmate and his visitor at Mack Alford Correctional Center (MACC) are facing charges after an investigation revealed a contraband smuggling attempt at the facility on February 1, 2025.
According to an affidavit from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) Office of Inspector General, a K-9 unit's alert on a blue Ford Escape in the prison's parking lot prompted an investigation. The vehicle belonged to visitor Jamie Bryant, who was at the time visiting inmate Oscar Clark. After the K-9's alert, Bryant's visit was canceled, and her vehicle was searched, though no contraband was found at that time.
Officers later reviewed camera footage of the visit and observed Bryant removing an object from her pants and wrapping it in a paper towel, using her child to block the view. Officers then searched the table where Bryant and Clark were seated and found 117.5 grams of marijuana. During the search of inmate Clark, he reportedly grabbed an object from his pants and flushed it down the toilet before officers could stop him.
