How's everything going with you? Are you enjoying the heat and activities that go with it? Or are you one of those who are ready for fall and cooler temperatures? Beth is glad that we live in an area that has seasons! Some places have summer and winter with very little 'other weather' in between. But God made something that suits everyone, I guess.

How about some interesting holidays for this week?

For the month of August: National Coffee Month, National Catfish Month, and Happiness Happens Month August 21st: World Senior Citizen's Day, Poets Day, National Spumoni Day (Italian dessert with three layers of gelato or ice cream: pistachio, cherry, and either chocolate or vanilla) August 22nd: National Tooth Fairy Day, Never Been Better Day, and Be an Angel Day (encouraging good deeds and kindness to others) August 23rd: Buttered Corn Day, Hug Your Sweetheart Day, and National Cheap Flight Day School has begun again. Watch for those kids walking to and from school. Remember teachers as they try to meet all of the needs of their students. Yes, teaching them all of the academic things, but also teaching how to get along. And then trying to meet some of those other needs -- physical, emotional, etc. The administrators are also trying to keep everything going. Remember them in prayer too! And... if you have a chance to help, please do so!
